SVP Aircraft and Engine Trading

This position will have responsibility for maintaining and building relationships with institutional investors (insurance companies, pension funds, PE investors, hedge funds, other structured finance investors), aircraft leasing companies, alternative investors and others that invest in portfolio aircraft trades. The successful candidate will use those relationships to structure and buy / sell aircraft portfolio transactions with long term cash flows. In coordination with senior management the position will also review the aircraft portfolio to identify packages of aircraft to sell as well as identifying divestment opportunities.


  • Buy Side; Originate, develop and maintain relationships with aircraft owners, investors and asset managers to identify aircraft to purchase on or off lease transactions.
  • Sell Side; Identify aircraft or packages of aircraft to sell on lease in line with the companies overall portfolio strategy.
  • Keep up to date with capital markets and innovate ways to sell or distribute aircraft.
  • Perform analysis related to potential aircraft commitments.
  • Review and negotiate LOI, sale, novations & other transaction documents
  • Ability to execute complex aircraft structuring
  • Coordinate with various team members and vendors – technical, legal, etc., to close transactions
  • Manage relationships in the aviation space, stay abreast of trends – prices, lease rates, etc.



  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial aviation market and experience in aircraft valuation
  • Proven experience in closing aircraft transactions – lease review, negotiation, technical oversight
  • Strong relationships within the investor community
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate the economics of potential aircraft transactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with investors
